Richard's J's paper wheel

I Know Jantz carries them and I would be pretty sure you can find them a lot of places. I just know Jantz has them. better yet shoot richardj an email he will tell you. Doug

they are all over the place. I got a set off the bay, but then found them cheaper at bladematrix.

the wheels that jantz sells are the cheap ones. i made the mistake of buying a set and wish i had bought the good ones which have a lifetime guarantee against defects. forum members can get a discount when ordering direct from the manufacturer. there is a link at my website. i also offer assistance for anyone wanting to learn how to use the wheels. popcornpicker, wrong kind of material, they are paper wheels, not cardboard

so where do you get them richard

go to Richards website there is a link near the bottom I dont remember the other site off hand. I was there today looking. Doug

Go for the wider ones,i believe 3/4".They work much better and easier.I used them for years and with lot's of practice, they cannot be beat.I have 3 grinders in my shop now.so i just use those.Mainly a 1x30.Be careful because they can slam a knife out of your hand and down in a nanosecond if you screw up and who doesn't?

the wheels are 1" wide unless you order the 1/4" wide wheels for recurve blades. the information at my website for the wheels is in red on the homepage. it is important to understand that these wheels are not grinding wheels and you should never go edge first into the wheels which will cause the edge to cut into the wheel and throw it back. that is the only way a blade can catch. a double edge dagger is one knife shape to be careful with.

I just got off the phone with the co-owner of the razor sharp company. he sent me to grizzly.com to order the 8" kit but you can get the 10" wheels direct from Razor Sharp for at least $10 cheaper then other places. The have it a a pretty good price, cheaper then some of the other places I looked at. I did also just order the system. Doug

I got my 8" Razor Sharp wheel setup today. I got them mounted and preped like they tell you to all in a very short time and started playing with some old junk kitchen knives. I now have 3 kitchen knives slicing news paper and only within a few minutes of getting them setup. I cant wait till I get a little more used to them boy they are a great setup. Doug
