Well, I'll attempt to get a picture posted later, but my XM-18 arrived...well more than just the XM-18. Both Rick and his wife Lori along with Bill and Doris Troutman (the in-laws) put a huge care-package together. Couldn't tell you how "extra" surprised I was:eek: Can't say enough about how great Rick was to work with. Aside from the excellent folder, I'm touched by how well he and his family went overboard to support us over here with care package...there's a bunch of Joes with smiles going through the box and the gun and knife magazines are getting passed around as I speak:thumbup:

Thanks again to Rick Hinderer; now to get some cutting done!

Thats great to hear. I have had nothing but amazing results dealing with Rick. My XM-18 cuts a lot of "whatever I can bet my hands on to see how it will cut". So I am glad that you have the chance to put it to the test. I am sure it will do fine.
Be safe.

CONGRATS on your XM-18!! Rick & Lori ARE fantastic people!! It doesn't surprise me that they would do something wonderful to support our troops!! Gosd bless you!! Stay safe!!

Just initial impressions...it's built like a bank vault. Lock up is the best I've seen in a frame lock (compared to others I won: Sebenza, Emerson, Mission MPF, BM Skirmish, ZT 0301). Although this isn't a slicer, the edge geometry seems very conducive to effective slicing despite the thick edge. There's a lot of very nice detail in the XM-18; everything from the spacing pins(?), the reversable clip and I love the choil. Quite an amazing folder...I'm very impressed. Not the best pictures, but the best I can do from here in Iraq.
