Rick Marchand blade finishes?

Hello Rick! I am very interested to learn how you do those fantastic sort of rustic blade finishes. It almost looks like a form of the ol' gun blue and bleach method, but seemingly more uniform in appearance. Care to share your secrets?

If anyone else has seen his awesome work and knows how this is done feel free to chime in. Thanks!
