Rick Menefee Custom Hunter

Thought I's share some pics of a new custom fixed blade I got from Rick Menefee. Blade steel is CPM-154 starting at 5/32's and has a tapered tang. Scales are Amboyna Burl with thin red liners. As usual, it turned out great !!!

What is the OAL " on this pattern? 8"? Great knife. I like how you can choke up on it with that spot for your index finger. Rick's knives have so much function to them.

I think Rick said the OAL was 8 to 8 1/4 or so. I don't have it in my hands yet, but it is on it's way to me.

Finn, do you hunt ? If so, are you planning to use your new Menefee Hunter to field dress your deer this Fall ?
I have a FB Hunter from Rick that i bought here on BF. I want to use a Menefee knife this year but no deer yet. I'm bow hunting, takes longer to get an animal.

Very nice. Who made the sheath shown? Did it come with the knife?

Rick churns out some stellar knives as far as I'm concerned. I love the handle profile. IMO it adds a nice touch. Also 154 CM is a grand steel and excellent for most all tasks.

Rick made that one from CPM-154. I think that's different from 154CM.

The Amboyna Burl Hunter came with one of Rick's new sheath's. He did a nice job on it too. Great field grade sheath. The brown micarta Hunter came with a Parsons sheath.
