Here's a traditional pattern that I have not had before. I tell you what...I've got several of Rick's folders, and they're all good, but he really outdid himself on this mammoth ivory and 154cm saddlehorn. It is a work of art. Fit and finish is dead on. The blade is centered and the action is smooth, with a firm pull the way I like `em. The swedge grinds are balanced and the nail nick is just right.

It is 3&1/8" closed. Despite the conservative overall size, this pocket knife feels like a lot of blade in the hand due to the ergonomics of the pattern. I've been carrying it for the last month as you might see in the pix.

Rick, you nailed it on this one bud.

Grab the saddlehorn and hold on amigos! Please share your thoughts if you're so inclined.

Congrats, Ford. That looks like a great new addition!

Very nice design, and I like the character in the Ivory! It makes it very pleasing; gives it an warm "antiquey" texture!

The single blade saddlehorn has got to be the most comfortable to hold. I also agree with Waynorth about the character in that ivory. That one is a winner in every respect.

Sweet knife!. WOW. That is a keeper. I love the way it is all rounded. Looks real comfy and ergo.

Very nice, Ford. The saddlehorn is a favorite pattern of mine. Nice feel in hand and seem to fit so well in those front pockets. Rick nailed that one. Congrats!

Thank you all for your kind comments. It's always a pleasure to share the wares here and hear from all the good folks. :)

Oh my. I only have one of Rick's knives and he did an excellent job with it, but this one really takes da cake.

Looks like another good year for slip-joints....
Congrats to both owner and maker on a fine knife.
