Anthony,
I believe the blade is 154 CM & all parts ss.Heat treat,"type" ? In an oven,I'd say :D. Rick can comment on it,I know he uses a cryo treatment,as well.
I'm not that up on baking steel, but I know knives that cut, hold a good edge, and "touch up",effortlessly. Ricks stuff does that

Thanks for the good words Anthony,

Another excellent knife from Rick's bench. Congrats Vince & Rick!

Thanks guys. While on the subject of edge holding, lemme tell you's what's been going on..
A buddy of mine & his Dad,are nusciance (sp ?) permit holders,on a local vinyard & have been stopping by,with some deer for Vince,family & friends.I've been using Rick's knives & others,a lot lately.
There is a big deer problem here & I'm happy to do my part helping,by eating them :D

"JZambino",Scott, has been helping me process what we are keeping,& eating them,as well :D He had a Dr.'s appt. today & missed scrambled eggs & fresh venison for breakfast.I'm sure Copper missed him,but probably was happy he did not show.My wife passes on the venison,so Copper's "taste",was a good deal this morning.
Here's my "front pocket" by Rick,& a little venison "trim" action.

Vince that looks awesome! I hope Rick starts making more knives with stag, bone and ivory and hopefully putting some up for sale here.

Thats a beautiful knife for sure and the meet seems to be exelent to. I will take the opportunity to ask a thing I dont feel sure about. Why is that knife a trapper instead of a single blade jackknife? Trappers seem to be the pattern for me that is hard to draw the line for. But that is just kuriosa. The important thing is that zise and shape of that knife cant be better even in a dream.
By the way it has simularities in the sole with my favorit jackknife a puma prospector from the early eighties

Bosse,I think there were threads on this subject & basically,a single blade trapper is a jack knife,by another name

I thought that it was the handle shape that gave it the "trapper" name.

Seem like Rick's knives are getting better and better.

God Bless
