riddick blade cleaning

So I got the riddick blades form the movie chronicles of riddick and they look fine but ive notuced that since I havnt cleaned them they are getting a few rusty spots and was wondering how exactly I go about cleaning these blades. Any hrlp would be much obliged I needto know how to care for these. .. my babies. Hahaha

Well, if they're carbon steel I would say clean it with WD-40 or steel wool, then keep them well oiled. But are you sure it is rust?

Do you have the black coated ones? You're likely going to lose the coating with most ways of cleaning.

there is a product called "never dull" that will clean them and keep the black nice and shiny. I have used it for years on coated knives and swords. assuming you have the black coted ones that is. it is a very good protectant for the metal as well..
