The LE's of late are satin with Tiger handles. Satin Jack TAC, FBM, Badger Attack TAC, and probably more that didn't name. I have seen the GW's posted as having a LE but it is in Snakeskin. Is this correct? Why the change up if so. Of all the collections I see posted, I most admire the "sets" of color codes. It doesn't matter if they are LE's or not. Just the fact that they start out large and are staggered in size down to the small ones but they are all the same blade color/handle combo even though they are different models. I have often thought of moving in that direction collection wise.
Anyway, am I misinformed on the GW? Is the tiger the LE? Is there no LE?

Brother, I think the LE was a Snakeskin. I recall seeing a picture of it...looked quite nice.

Why Snakeskin instead of Tiger? Possibly because this is a small knife?? Don't know...

If the tiger handle GW was satin finished then it will go very well with the other LE models. Don't get hung up on the title, in the old days (Ergo era :)) LE primarily meant satin finished blade, I had a few SJ LEs and they all had a different handle material. Some were canvas, some linen, some paper, although I think paper was supposed to the be standard.

I actually prefer the looks of the snake to the tiger in the pictures I have seen. Never seen either in person. Some of the pics of the FBMLE's that were posted were indeed stunning tho!

GWLE is pictured below... it's the 'smallish' one second from the bottom, right column.... :)

Just above the GWLE is a HOGFSHLE, sterile, tiger scales...

The Snakeskin/Satin was called the LE, but they aren't numbered. If you think about it, it seems like all the GWs are essentially limited editions - short runs at BCS and then gone.

Maybe there will be additional runs on the non-LEs eventually, but not the LE. Nobody but Jerry or Skunk knows for sure.

Here's a pic of the Snakeskin next to the Tiger Hide. The Snake is the one on top with the lanyard. Hope this helps a little.
