Good start to the Steelers-Chargers game with the "fly-by" of 4 Super-Stallion helicopters to the tune of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie."
It was nice to see some dull "transport" aircraft get some recognition for their massive effort in evacuating New Orleans.

Everyone loves big helicopters, same as they like big locomotives.

Kinda reminds me of Apocalypse Now. Minus the napalm, of course. ;)

Glad those folks are getting recognition.

I love the sound of them choppers especially when they are lodaded down with 50 caliber gatlin guns and rocket launchers. Most beautiful sound a fighting Irish infantry man ever heard, I guarantee it, bro.

Them pilots that flew them choppers were the real heros, no doubt about it, without any shadow of a doubt. I give them the full credit for being the true heros.

Even today, I stop what I am doing and listen to those beautiful chopper blades, if one comes a flying over me. I stop and blow kisses to them. I love them forever. Yes sir, pardner, I blow kisses to them. Good night to all and to all a good night. I am going to bed now and I have decided that I am going to dream about the beautiful sound of choppers flying throught the air.

In the Air Force, fighter jocks and bomber dudes refer to transport/cargo pilots as "trash haulers". If I had a nickel for everytime those "trash haulers" safely and efficiently transported my sorry butt from one "nice" place to another, I could, at the very least, buy the cantina a round of drinks. Dedicated professionals every one of 'em. IMHO, they don't get a smidgeon of the credit they deserve.
