I am planning a trip to Florida on an
AMTRAK train that stops either in New York
or D.C.. My question is : Could I carry my
Spyderco "Cricket" with it's diminutive blade
length without any hassle(s) ? The way I
see it, no terrorist can crash a train into
a building or national landmark, and it
would profit the terrorist little to try
and take hostage(s) with a puny knife.
I'm afraid to as AMTRAK or it's police
as it may cause alarm with them. If ANY
OF YOU have riden AMTRAK before and had
no problem(s) carrying your trusty knife,
please let me know.

Sincerely,

Allen E. Treat

It shouldn't be a problem at all.
I've ridden Amtrak w/ pocket clips hanging out all over the place w/ no problems. This was pre 9/11, but if you're reasonable-looking/acting & don't wave a 7" blade around, you should be ok.

i ride the train frequently from Boston To NYC. Have carried everything from a Chive to a Mini-Commander, no problems at all. just don't wave it around.
