Awhile back I remember someone posting up a rifle with a Pouch mounted on the stock, it was OD green, I believe it was on a M6....I think it was ROCK6

Anyone know of the pouch im talking about????

Thanks :o

I wish someone would make some sorta molle type panel to fit diff. stocks. then people could add the stuff they wanted

Hey Jake...Caine is right, it's an Eagle stock pouch with cheek rest. I'm recovering from jet lag. After a 60+hour traveling circus from Afghanistan, I'm back home finally.

Woot woot!!!!!!! :D

Great to have ya back safe brother.

Off topic- Horrible stuff at Ft Hood huh man? :(

right on Rock.. nice to have you back man... hope you are doing well..

Jake-- i have one of those Eagle Ind. stock pouches on my shotgun..... they're great... i love it...:)

Right on Mike.... I dont remember seeing that when you showed it to me...

Im thinking of getting one for my 10/22. I already have a sidesaddle shell carrier on my shotty, I think it might be "too much" if I put one on it too. That sidesaddle adds enough weight!!! What do you think?

I did take an inch out of the stock on my shotty, and added a section of inner tube to the grip though. Makes a world of differance, they always seem too long from the factory, and the factory checkering is pretty sharp w/o gloves on.

What kind of shotgun is it? For a house gun, I agree that a little less length is nice. Sure makes it more maneuverable. And it's usually easier for a person with long arms to make up for a short length of pull, than for someone with short arms/stature to make up for a long LoP.

I actually almost can't stand my 870 with the sidesaddle, I just have it because I know I need some easily accessed shells. Adding stuff just screws up the balance and the handling. I have a full length mag tube on my 870, and have actually been considering buying a standard length spring and cap! I still keep the surefire fore end and side saddle because it's a house gun, not a gun for 'carry', but it sure isn't very elegant to work with. I prefer my Mossberg because it's frill-free and light handling.

Its an 870 magnum with the extended factory tube. I agree, im not sure how I feel about the side saddle either. Bulky, and throws the ballance off a bit. However it isnt too big of an issue. Especially now that I shortened the stock a tad. Makes it alot more manuverable. Ive owned alot of shottys over the years, and never thought about cutting down the stock untill I bought a 20ga that someone had cut down the stock for their kid. As soon as I shouldered that weapon, it was instant bliss. I immeadiatly saw an improvement in target aquisition at the range shootin clays. I shortened this one, and its the same deal. Plus its my house gun, so a little shorter length never hurts. Im not a pistol grip fan, so it works nice for me. I keep the tube loaded up with birdshot for HD(which im a huge fan of), and alternate sabot slugs and 00 in the sidesaddle for added firepower if needed.

Im 6 ft tall and have long arms, so im not sure why the factory length bugs me, its in the angle of my wrist on the forend. Shortining a tad puts it in a more comfy position.

Thanks guys...yeah, probably safer in Afghanistan than here at Hood!!! Sad to say, one of our separate Signal Companies lost two Soldiers in the attack:( I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow...

Back on the subject, here's the same Eagle pouch I added to my Marlin Papoose:

Damn man sorry to hear about that...Gonna be a rough week im sure.

Great pics, you have a great selection of .22s.

Do you find the pouch a bit bulky? What do you pack in yours?

Great selection of steel and iron there Rock! Lots of practical users. Pouch 'fits' the marlin well, too.

Sorry to hear that you knew some of the folks at Ft. Hood. My condolences.

Thanks Spooky,

Yeah, the pouch isn't too bulky Jake. I just keep a small SAK Farmer, extra magazine, barrel wrench and a bore-snake in it. You could actually put a small tin-sized PSK. It has a comfortable cheek rest.
