Well I've found a rifle that I think is pretty sexy, and I want one. They're, of course, hard to find. If you have one you'd be willing to trade, I'm willing to trade custom ordered knives to you for it!!

What I'm looking for is a Savage model 99. I want an older one with the tapered foregrip.

I gave my 99 to my son. it was in 300 savage. most people never heard of it. he took his first deer with it. good luck in your search.

This one doesn't have the Schnabel forend. It was manufactured in 1967, it has the rotary magazine, and it is chambered in .308.

As you know, I was not willing to trade my .44. What I am asking is whether anyone has a Savage model 99 they are willing to trade.
 
I know bother, I'm with you on the .44 carbine, it's a fine rifle. Just like to give you crap because you wouldn't sell it to me.
