I just wanted to share the fact that I have been running 950 Rift thumbstuds on my 943. I just love the thumbstuds on my Rift and had to have them on my 943. When I had my Rift "re-bladed" by BM not too long ago I ended up with extra studs because I didn't send the knife in with thumbstuds. So I put the extra studs on my 943 and love it. I have large hands and it just makes the knife so much easier to open. I think the factory studs are too small. I put them in a 710 and tried it as well and it's much better. I personally think the 950 type studs should be used on more BM's. Granted, you may not want to use them on like a mini-Griptilian because they would just be too big I think. Maybe if they made the Rift thumbstuds in a smaller version that would be cool for little knives.

Interesting. Oddly I'm the reverse. With small hands, I found the 950 studs to be too large and would catch too often on the edge of my pocket. So I switched to the smaller standards, as used on the 710 and my problems went away. Choice is a good thing, isn't it? :)
