Heres my dilema, this will be my very first ever blade I have actually directly acquired from Busse. I want a SFNO but am lost. Im swaying toward the satin finish with black paper handles but dont know what the double cut is !!

So many styles to choose, where do I start !

can only afford one so I hope I dont regret this combo !!

lol!! I feel your pain bro, waaaaay to many choices! First, the double cut is a two stage bead blast where after an initial blast with coarse beads its blasted with a fine mesh bead. This produces a very smooth finish, my favorite aside the satin finish. I've got pics of the double cut finish on an Uncle MoFo if you want me to send ya one. :) I've also got an AD with the Satin finish if you want to see that.

Yeah - thats what inspired me in the first place - thanks Eric !!

in that pic the DC looks nicer

I dont know guys - I like to see the steel my knife is made of !!

Will probably stick to the satin finish - now the handle paper or canvas !!

TOO MUCH CHOICE MR BUSSE !!

:D

Paper is a little nicer looking, canvas is a little more durable.

Tough decision, but what are you going to be doing with it? If it is primarily for use, I'd go with the canvas. However, having said that I prefer the paper ;):D

from what i have gathered paper is still touhger than most handle materials - have you got a picture comparison of the 2 ??

Even more than this, for me at least, is that I find when I am using a Busse with paper handles for prolonged periods and my hand gets sweaty, there is a little slippage. This is not true for the canvas handles and I've never held a linen one.

slipag is a bad thing - its either satin with paper or DC with canvas !!

I need pictures man !!

Look in the archive for the tactical finished Mofos. They were DC blasted with canvas handles. Very nice and you don't have the slight slippage with the canvas.

If it's pictures of busse knives you are looking for, the archive is a good place to start. In case the archive isn't fast enough to scroll through, check out www.badmojo.tv it's my favorite place to window shop. ;)

Edited to add
P.S. I belive this is the second time today i've recommended badmojo to someone. It's one of my favorite places on the web, great site. Bookmark it, learn it, love it. :D
