Unfortunately the way the software here works (UBB) we can not tell who was number 6,000. We periodically have to delete members who's email bounces or for whatever reason. At this point we actually have over 6,527 members who have joined to date yet the member numbers you guys see shows 6,000.
Here is how this works. Let's say you have a organization and you get 10,000 members in your first year. As people joined you created a file folder for that person. Then during the year people left for what ever reason. Your number of active members will flucuate but the number of file folders will always indicate how many people have actually joined.
Now using my best guess, a member who joined today called TomF of Mirimar Florida is the 6,000th member. J-Rod of Wichita KS belongs to the actual file #6000.
Larry Connelley of KnifeArt.com joined on 9/24/1999 and is in the file #000001. As you can see it is not in any order as Spark is actually #1 and I am #2.
This is also part of the way I choose who wins each month. Each member is loaded into a spreadsheet and I sort it randomly then you guys pick the winning number. All I do is look to see who fills that spot and then I check to see if they have posted. Each month everyone's number changes so even if you knew your number one month, it would not help you the next.
