I’m working on a Kephart. Every time I make one, I’m reminded of what a perfect knife it is, works great in the outdoors, as well as in the kitchen. The 1/8” blade thickness is a good all around size, thick enough to be tough, thin enough for slicing. Horace Kephart knew what a knife should be used for, and chose this model for his knife.
One of the magazine writers who did an article on my Kephart called it one of the most authentic ones he tested, I agree. If you don’t already have one, you should probably order one, if you do have one, post a picture.

It is a pretty great knife. I've used it more in the kitchen than in the woods, but I've been changing that recently since the JK Clipped CBK is my kitchen knife now

It’s surprising that the Kephart is not really popular anymore, it’s a classic.

I assume it's either everyone has one or there are so many options for them already. I feel like I was seeing them everywhere last year and/or the year before. I don't want to say how many different versions I already have.

My knife arrived safe and sound a few days ago. I ill try to get a pic of it up. I have to say that I see this knife becoming my go to camping knife. I love it!
