A while ago I touted the work of a new maker from up in my area: Sal Manaro, who hails from Long Island, NY. (http://www.manaroknives.com) I was so impressed with the quality of his work he asked me to photograph, that I went ahead and ordered one for myself.

Hit F11 for the big look....

He delivered right on schedule. I am *very* impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail on this sturdy folder. There is hidden treasure everywhere:

• No bolster screws on the outside (Screwed in from the liners)
• Recessed clip base.
• All the screws have his little 'bullseye' rings.
• Full jeweling on the liners interior
• Overall clean satin finish
• Great grind lines
• Grippy checkering on the backspine

I'm liking these 'grey turds' more and more... ;) he he he!

I really like Sal Manaro's work !

His knives are extremely clean. . . .if that makes sense. . .and the details (pivot area, checkering on the backspine, bolster to scale, scales, etc.) are superb ! :D

Nice one Coop !

Love the Bullseye folder-I checked out the link and it looks like Sal is doing some nice work!! Very nice-Tony

I was so impressed, in fact, that I just checked out the website!

But....there are no prices (not even a hint) so I am assuming that these knives are all made for personal use and are not for sale? ;)

Makers with no prices on their websites make me.... :grumpy:  :grumpy:

Thanks guys! I chased Sal this link. Maybe, just maybe, he'll register and join us sometime.

Holger, I'll send you a PM. Suffice to say that there is a value to all of this detail work, and he is trying to find a correct number to appease everyone.

His production is slow as a part-timer knifemaker/full-time steelworker/all-the-time good family man. Drop him a note soon.

Again, I couldn't be happier with the value I paid for. ;)
