Right tool for the Job

What would be the proper tool to access the ring in the AR's handle. It looks like it would have to be some kinda fork like flat head screw driver. If anyone knows what kinda tool is used to losen and tighten this up I'd like to know it's name and where I can find one. I know the other side uses an allen head. Thanks guys. And also if I take my Strider Folder apart from time to time to clean it is there gonna be any kinda springs or anything that are gonna jump out at me. Should I make a map when taking it apart? Or is it pretty straight forward?

THE RIGHT TOOL I CAN'T HELP YOU WITH BUT WE USED TO MODIFY BIG FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVERS TO WORK ON OUR CONSHELF 14 REGS THE SAME IDEA WOULD PROBABLY WORK ON AN AR I HAVE NOT TRIED IT ON MINE YET BUT IT'S AN IDEA. JUST TAKE FLATHEAD THE WIDTH OF THE SCREW TOP AND TAKE A DREMEL TOOL AND TAKE OUT THE MIDDLE TILL IT FITS. GIVE IT A TRY

GOOD LUCK:)

Don't know if this will help but we use a tool that was used when you have to open the back cover of wrist watch.
It works good for the AR to unscrew the pivot pin.
Also the AR disassembly is as easy as Sebenza IMHO.

Get the proper tool or you are going to fu****k up your knife!!!!
I read in another post that Mr. Mick Strider stated not to take the AR apart.

Yes he said to just shoot brake cleaner in there to clean it out, but not to take them apart. If the action seems a little tight don't mess with it it will break in after use. My AR seemed tight at first but now 1 week later and it is getting faster. I carry it every day though.

1OOPS,
That's a snabby idea! That's a big flathead though. But I bet a chisel would work like a charm. Dull the edge up and cut out the middle. Wide enough to give ya some power too. I may try that. It's not like it will hurt the strider and if it doesn't work I'm only out a chisel.

Joe,
Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into that watch tool.

Was Mr. Strider actually talking about "Car" break cleaner? Or was he talking about like Break Free CLP that you use on guns and stuff?
