Rigid Demascus fixed blade skinner

I got this knife from a friend. Wondering if anyone knows the history? I found some information on the web that said it was made from some employees from Buck I believe in Japan. Any information would be appreciated.

I think the first RIGID knives were American made, but since this one doesn't say I would suspect it being imported.

Btw this is just a guess but I'm thinking it could just be an etched stainless Faux Damascus.

I couldn't tell you when or by who your knife was made but here is a little info that I found on AAPK

"the original rigid knives co. was 1970-1980. name sold to smkw in 1980. later aquired by taylor around 1987."

Thanks he told me he got the knife in 1979 and you are 0cc correct it is fair Damascus.
