Hi all!

I'm new there and it is my first thread in the knife maker's gallery. Before I start to write about my last knife let me say you few words about me. I live in Slovakia on the bordery with Czech republic in the small town named Skalica. It is place of wineyards with colorful history. Knifemaking it is my work last three years. For blades I use material with some story - it is usually old farming tools, steel with history, some pieces from scrapyard or espiecially material which I found in country. On the handles you can find generally my own wood, which I sawed and dryed. Leather sheaths are my work too. I try knowingly continue the story of individual material and connect it with others. I hope that it is understandable.

So there is knife. Rignaur mean "knit fire".

Overall length 27 cm and blade is 13 cm.

Blade is san mai type - core makes scrap of tool steel O2 from local factory and sides proceed from car flat spring. Blade is partial hardenned.

Handle start with patinated bronze guard and next materials I bought on knife exhibitions. It is moose antler, small piece of cow leather and burl wood of palisander honduras.

Sheath is from cowhide which I dyed with rust and linen oil. And I decorated it with spirals.

Thank you for watching!

Fabulous work. I love the bronze guard and the way it flows with the lines of the sheath.
