I pulled this photo from FB I just wanted to show you all the bowie I made for the show that won Best Bowie and what a thrill that was I would like to thank all of the knife makers for this award it really means a great deal to me. I will be doing a new version of this knife at some point there is a couple different ways it could go. But for the next 12 weeks I will be working on my MS test knives, I passed the performance test and I finished the blade for my dagger yesterday. today I start on the guard then the handle. I am trying to take the advice I gave young Ben and keep it fun as I too have worked very hard to get to a place in my life where I have the time and money to take this test.
thanks again

That's a terrifc piece Dave, and an award well deserved. Though I wasn't there to view the knives in person, this piece along with Lin's appealed to me most because of the innovative twist on the traditional D-guard that each one presents. Congrats on the award. Can't wait to see what you come up with for your MS test knives.

That was an awesome knife, David. Well deserved award.

I don't think you need to test for "master", it already says "M.S." on that picture. ;)

To win "Best Bowie" in the heart of Bowie country is quite an achievement and this one certainly deserves the honor. I saw the knife up close at the Friday night gala and it just seemed to stand out amounst a full table of outstanding Bowies.

I hope that you do indeed have fun with your MS knives and please, keep us updated with your progress. [:)Once you have the quillion dagger completed it's all downhill from there.] An MS stamp is not only a validation of your knife making abilities but a testiment to the time & effort involved to get there.

I won't be at the Blade Show so online photos of what you will be taking there will be appreciated.

That knife has to be one of, if not the best looking Bowie I have ever laid eyes on. It is gorgeous. Congratulations Dave.

you're a madman.

An awesome concept with a perfect execution Dave! Congrats again on a well deserved win dude!

Got to see this one at the show. Just a fabulous Bowie. So original, yet so tasteful. Lookin' forward to testing with you in Atlanta, Dave. Keep us posted as they get done. Hope to be shaking hands with you and Mike Q. Thursday morning, after the judging.

Dave, I cannot say anything that has not already been said about this bowie. I will be in Atlanta this year. Looking forward to seeing you and Mike Q. bring for your MS knives.

Dave,

First, congrats on a very well deserved award.
One of the nicest, most well executed Bowie designs I've had the pleasure of seeing anywhere.
Super job, thanks for showing !

Very cool Bowie Dave, it was good to finally meet you and good luck with the MS testing.

Beautiful Bowie Dave and executed superbly.
It would have looked great just as a ring guard (without the D) as well.
