Sheath and knife are both awesome. Browsed thru your website and you have done some very nice work.

ANOTHER knife with a high "cool" factor Magnus. Nice piece of snakewood and you have matched it very well with the color of the sheath.

That's a very cool little knife, beautiful work.

I'd be interested in knowing how the sheath retention works, specifically the process involved to draw the blade?

Magnus' sheaths are usually open backed, so the retention is from the tip wedging into the acute angle and security is provided by the Sam Browne.
You lift the knife out of the back of the sheath rather than draw it.

I love that knife .......also the leather neck sheath is much nicer than kydex.........always figgured kydex was a nessesary evil for a neck knife.......you prove otherwise.
Darcy:)

Always the unique "Magnus" look.

Very nice. Your "photographing" skills are also impressive!

Kind regards,

Jos

I have yet to see an Axelson knife that I didn't appreciate. Its that blend of pragmatism of design and unique Artistic vision.
I think it's impossible for Magnus to make a knife I don't like.
Good talking with you today brutha!

I'm excited about my pending order for one of these Magnus, can't wait for you to get started!
Me too! I can't wait to get the materail you have chosen for your knife! It will be nice to see and work with!
Thank you for the opportunity!

Thank you! I have a new webite on the way. One that I will manage myself and update on a daily basis if needed.

Thank you Peter! The wood was so nice in colour that I had to get the sheath to match as close as I could.

Well parbajto got it pretty much spot on! :)
There is also a part of the welt in the sheath that its into the knife where the index finger goes. This holds the knife securely in place in combination with the "keeper-strap".
When withdrawing the knife it feels almost as any regular sheath, only faster!

Thank you for your helpfull and accurate description! :)

I feel just the same about kydex and I am very glad to be able to do something about it! :D
Of course kydex has its merrits, I just prefer leather.
