I picked up my new mammoth tooth and ATS 34 hunter at the Post office today. This being the last day of moose season we decided to to take a drive to some ponds north of town. Near Cleary summet we came upon a guy who had just hit a large cow moose and totaled his F150. I called the troopers and got permission to savage it. In 1 1/2 hours i had about 500 lbs of meat in my van. For the last ten years I have been on the list and get from eight to ten moose a year to give to people in need. I used my new knife and it is still shaving sharp ! The sheath by Wild Rose trading is a work of art.

That's great. I know Roger makes a real sweet knife. That kind of feedback is great for a maker. Keep 'er cuttin'.

500 pounds of moose meat. Man, that's a test. That's gotta be some meal as well. I was told there's no better meat. But, that might just be one of those "always wantin what you can't have" deals.

Excellent looking blade. Great feed back. Feel sorry for the guy in the truck.

Chuck, I've been worried about it getting there okay. That's great. I am relieved.

How much of the work on the moose did you use that knife for?? All of it??

Thanks for the report. Let me know how much moose it does before having to resharpen.

Roger

Great story, It's Great for the maker to here stories about his knives.
Roger she looks great, and the Wild Rose sheath ain't bad niether!:D

Roger ,I used the knife for the whole job.I like the tooth as a handle it seems to grip good and kept a good polish after cleaning it up.I know you went out of your way on this knife and really appreciate it.The caribou are moving and if I can make it up north next week I can put it to the real test.We are allowed to get five but two are all I need.
