I can't believe I missed this. Bill Davis has passed away, July 31.

I have wanted one of his beautiful hunting knives for years and just put it off too long. I didn't know the man, but I have enjoyed all his work I've seen. He made great art, in the form of hunting knives.

I couldn't see a BF thread on Bill's passing. If you have a pic of his knives to post or a story of the man, I'd love to read it.

I have a couple of his semi skinners, if not for the stamping W.C. Davis, you would swear they were made by Loveless, the quality is all there.
 
It's been a few years since I saw Bill last, and that was at Blade. this is my "go to" field knife.

A good guy who made very good knives. He'll be missed.
