I was born and raised in Detroit, so I've always been a car fan. Especially the sport/muscle cars. I've been a big fan of Carroll Shelby for a long time (especially since I'm a Ford guy). He knew his way around a performance car, that's for sure. The Shelby mustangs are classics and I love the look. Even the more recent stuff.

Link to espn with some bio info. I never knew he ran a safari in Africa or was one of the longest living heart transplant survivors.

You took the words out of my fingers DC.
Mr Shelby has always been a hero of sorts to me. His legend will live on for a long, long time.

+1... Ford and Chevy both had one great designer that really set each company apart. Ford had Carroll Shelby, and Chevrolet had Zora Arkus Duntov who was the one that brought the Corvette to life.

R.I.P Mr. Shelby
