RIP Kurt Vonnegut

Does anyone remember the cameo he had in "Back to School," where he was hired by Rodney Dangerfield's character to write an essay on the works of Kurt Vonnegut?

Eric

Anyone read Mother Night, or see the movie? I've wanted to see that since it came out, but have never found it anywhere.

I saw the movie Slaughterhouse-Five quite a few of times, once before I was married and several there after, my father-in-law, Eugene Roche, played the role of Edgar Derby. He passed almost 3 years ago, RIP.

RIP !

Reading Vonnegut as a youngster made me what I am today .......

one warped M:eek:r

Thanks Kurt !

My intro to Vonnegut was Cats Cradle; still a favorite. I haven't read the entire cannon, though - Slaughterhouse Five, Hocus Pocus, Bagambo Snuffbox. Went to the library yesterday, and picked up Player Piano.

One of the masters.

Wonderful perspective on life...at least, wonderful alternative perspectives on life.

It has been a while, I need to stash his books for re-reading.

Seeya Mr. Vonnegut.

sally in the garden siften cinders
lifted up her leg and farted like a man
the burstin of her bloomers
broke sixteen winders
the cheeks of her arse went...
clap...clap...clap

i dont remember which of his books that is from (jailbird maybe?)
but i shall always remember it

one of my top ten authors

Honestly mind-expanding.

He'll go down as one of the greatest...if not already considered as such.

I need to read more fiction I guess because it sounds as if I missed out on another good writer while he was still alive.:(
RIP Mr. Vonnegut.
