James Poplin founder of Pop's knife supply passed away early this morning. I don't know what to say other than he was a great man, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. I'm thankful for having the privilege to get to know Pop and his lovely wife Kay.

If someone has already informed the bladeforums community I apologize but I wasn't able to find a post.

Very sad to hear about Pop, my Condolences to all his Family and Friends and all those in Mourning ~ I really liked Pop ~ He had a Friendly Presence about himself that made you want to keep coming back to support him and his Family Company ~

I can not tell you how valuable he was as a friend and as a supplier to us. This one hurt.

I did not have the pleasure to interact with Pop, but I too wish my condolences to the family and offer my prayers.

James was always nice to talk to. He was a true gentleman. Condolences to his family.
