I learned this morning that Master Engraver and Knifemaker Ron Nott has passed away.
I don't recall hearing much about Ron on this forum but his work was fabulous.
His engraved Colts were truly works of art. He also engraved many wonderful knives as well as made them.
Ron was not only a world class engraver he was also a world class person.
Never one to put on airs he was just Ron where ever you saw him.
He was always willing to help someone out and teach them when he could.
His input and advice helped me many times when putting together our knife show in Lewisburg each year. We busted each others stones for years, he had a great sense of humor. No matter how much we teased and poked fun I knew I could count on him if I needed help with something.
I'm proud I could call Ron my freind.
Please keep Rons family in your thoughts and prayer
