Ripstop 1 knife

Hello is there a way to remove the 2 thumb studs for easy opening on this knife to me its harder to use while opening and get in the way with sharpening it. http://www.gerbergear.com/Essentials/Knives/Ripstop-I-Knife_22-41614

Umm, this is in the wrong forum. I have that knife and I seriously doubt you can remove the thumb studs.
