I believe a while back someone was making rise and fall indicators for folder makers. Does anyone know who that was.
Thanks
Percy

What are rise and fall indicators?

They are used in fitting the tang and spring in a slipjoint

Hi Travis.
I'm willing to bet they will be first rate if the workmanship is anything like my grinder wheels you made me.

Hey Bruce,

Why thanks for the kind words...And yes I am a picky SOB and if I don't like it then it don't leave my shop...Some of my customers even call me to anal...So yes they will be top notch and precision made.

Travis,

Travis, please post em here so I can have a look when they're done. Yes?

Yes the base plate is Aluminum. The pins are 3/32" pressed in and the use of a bushing will have to be used for other sizes. I have also contemplated making the pins threaded inserts and including some standard sizes but thought it might add to much to the cost.

Travis,

How would you bush it to an 1/8 pin ?
It seems like that would be a too delicate bushing.

Yes it will be a little thin walled but will have support from the pin so should work fine... In order to keep the price down I think it is the best option as these will be made in such small batches it would be way to expensive to go any other way... But you can always take out the 3/32" pin and ream it to 1/8".

Travis,

Just an Idea, but how about a 3/32 sized hole with customer specified stepped pin provided? And other sized stepped pins can be ordered as needed.
