Thought a consolidated resource of dyed g10 would be nice to have for those considering a color change.

These were both done with Teal RIT. Just enough to prevent seeing the bottom of the pan. Heated to a simmer with some vinegar added.

Was originally ghost jade g10. Left in solution about 15 minutes. Just check every 5 minutes or so. Expect it to fade a shade or two after cleaning.

Foliage green g10. 12 minutes iirc.

Please post your pics with original color and dye combinations below.

Great to see these. Thanks for posting.

Does everyone use the same treatment as the OP?

Wow TLE those came out great. I have only done a FRN scaled knife with the dye, but it came out well. It is always fun to make something one of a kind.

This is a Jade PM2 after simmering about an hour in Golden Yellow powdered Rit dye.

Didn't like the shade so.... Same knife after 30 minutes in Sunshine Orange Rit dye

It looks red inside and more orange in the sun.

Here's a Benchmade 300 soaked in Sunshine Orange

Before color.

These are the only two I've ever dyed.
