I decided to dye the scales of my blurple Millie this afternoon. I used Rit dye in Navy Blue color. It's mostly navy with a slight hint of blurple if you hold it up to the light. Overall, I'm pleased with the results!

I agree, very nice! I'm going to try the RIT dye thing when the Hawkbill Dragonfly comes out. Confidence is high! :D
Me too! I was also considering getting a jade millie to copy cat bravo's (love that one) and doing it to my cruwear p3. On the second day of carrying my para3 and i had some cheap jeans on and they bled blue dye on one side of the scales. So i think ill just dye them all at once.

I actually like the look of blue jean blue on the light gray G-10. I had that happen to a Para 2 in 20CV.

Thanks yall! It seems some of the royal blue has worn off a little bit on my BHQ M4 Millie. I use it with dirty gloves at work, so it sees a pretty abrasive environment. If you hold it up to the light, it's almost aqua looking in color. The Navy Blue dye made the blurple scales non-transparent now. With factory, you could hold it up to the light and see the liners/components through the handles. Now you can't since it's been dyed! I may dye the grey g10 on my cruwear Manix this weekend, not sure what color yet though...

Looks good. I had my PM2 s110v blurple dyed to a royal, turned out nice.

Any chance you can post up a pic of this? I have a Blurple S110V PM2, but I wish it was darker blue.

EDIT: I just realized the OP was showing dyed Blurple scales. For some reason I thought he had natural G-10 scales and dyed them Navy.

If you walk me thru how to post pics I will do that

I found out that you can also dye Micarta and it comes out great. I did my Steel Will 1500 in dark Teal and it looks great.

I held off on buying the M4 Millie because I did not like the translucent G10. I ordered one earlier this week to get a free Squarehead and because I saw a thread here about dyeing G10:thumbsup::D

I like it!. As you can see, I removed the dye and did another acid dip with the clip. The M4 has been great, you can take it down pretty thin and still handle the rough rigors of the everyday work environment.
