I think the proportions and size are PERFECT! :)

Wow, I need one of those in a stonewashed finish. What a terrific looking user. I can see the BK12 becoming a regular fixture at my campsite.

Thanks for the pics!

"when & how much?"

Don't expect Camillus to tell us - as you may be aware they don't support this forum anymore and what information we do have about this was posted in the General forum by Ritter himself.

Camilus won't be telling you in any case, as the RSK MKII / BK12, for the time being, will be exclusively available from Aeromedix.com, as is the case with the RSK MkI. As to "when and how much," I can't really say right now. I hope to have those answers in the not too distant future, but after being burnt before, we are very cautious about the matter of inital delivery dates. Moreover, there are still some development issues to be settled before production can start. I hope we'll have knives by fall, well in time for the holiday season.

Mr. Ritter, thanks for your input - both here and in the design of this new Becker knife. I and others have been clammoring for a more useful version of the Companion which is seriously overbuilt. This new model looks like it will fit the bill nicely. I look forward to purchasing one as soon as they become available.

I am very excited about this. The Ritter Mk1 represents exceptional value. I hope that trend continues. An S30V stonewash version will be exceptional. I do hope the pricing does not follow the Becker extreme's lead.

How much does it weigh? Does the tang have cutouts under the handle scales?
Haven't weighed it yet, but should be similar to the BK10, plus a very little. Yes, it has cutouts in the tang.
