Ritter Fixed Blades?

Does anyone have information about when the Ritter fixed blade knives are coming out? I have seen pictures of them (in another thread) but there was no mention of a timeline.

We no longer provide release dates for new products. Once burnt, twice shy. :( It seems it always takes longer than anyone reasonably expects. Murphy is always hanging about.

Our goal is to release the 0170-6C high carbon tool steel version of the RSK MkII / BK12 by early fall; but that is just the goal and deliberately vague. The next series of prototypes are in the works. An S30V version is also planned, but that will not likely happen before next year.

And, no, Aeromedix has no plans no take pre-orders. Also, we haven't yet decided if we'll do a numbered first production run. Unlike simply lasering numbers on a stainless blade, this is more problematic. But, we're looking into it.

WRT the Benchmade fixed blade, that project is taking much longer than expected, but for reasons that ultimately are going to make a huge difference that just about everyone will appreciate.

Can you give us a hint of the design?

Well, I've never had a good fixed blade and the Ritter Benchmade will probably be my first...I'll just have to be patient. :(

Sharp edge, pointy tip...sorry, couldn't resist. :D In any case, the decision's been made not to release any details until it's ready to show, sorry. I've receive a ration of you know what from everyone else involved for opening my big mouth, so... If you like my knives to date, I think you'll like this one. ;) My philosophy about what makes a good field and utility knife hasn't changed. They tell me patience is a virtue...
