Hey guys, thought I'd tap into your expertise again. I'm looking to get some custom grips and maybe some other mods for a Ritter Griptilian (full size), and I'd like to see some pics of what other Ritter Grip owners have done. I actually seem to have misplaced mine somehow (brought it in after my move to start EDC'ing it again, and then the next time I looked, it was gone :( ). Needless to say, I'll be replacing it at knifeworks again, because it's one of my two favorite folders of all time. It's around somewhere, but heck, I don't mind having 2 if I can find it. But I want to do it right this time.

I did send an email months ago to cuscadi, but they never responded. So I'm also looking for suggestions as to someone, preferably a BF member, so I can support my fellow blade lovers, who could make me custom carbon fiber grips. Pics and suggestions welcome! Thanks all!
 
Dang, I got my Ritter Grip with Wilkins black micarta handles and blue aluminum spacer in my pocket right now. However, just did the blade swap last night, so no pics. I'll try to rectify that and post some.

Full sized M4 Grip - Phillip Dobson LSCF scales - not recessed. I love this knife and carry it often.

This one is a mini grip with Kevin wilkins scales.
Black g10 and green swimming pool g11 spacer (that's what he calls it:))

man i really need to get wilkins grips for my mini ritter.....just hard to pull the trigger at $140 for some G10
 
I to would love to change out my grips on my griptillian but just can't justify 140.00 for grips.

i can understand that, however, if you really like the griptilian, you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT after getting a K.W. grip!

I've been waiting to order a set of Cuscadi Jungle scales + GITD smooth spacer since April but apparently Luke has been sick for most of the year. I need to send him another email to find out what's happening.
 
Just found out Philip Dobson doesn't do griptilian grips any more :( It's starting to sound like Kevin Wilkins is the only game in town, with Cuscadi not responding. Any other suggestions?
 
I sent Cuscadi another email after my last post above. Hopefully Luke's health is good, and even better if he's back to work and has resumed making their awesome scales. Will keep you posted.
 
cuscadi makes great scales but IMO wilkins are better for mini grips (inc ritters) the handles are larger allowing the pinky to actually fit...

Well I've been in touch with Luke a few times this week. They'll be making my scales in the next week and sending pics to me to review before I buy.

It's been a long wait but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Regarding the Cuscadi scales being shorter than the Wilkins, I'm ok with that since my hands aren't that big anyways.
