Please, can someone tell me if there is anyway to fix an alignment
problem on my ritter grip, seems the blade is not center when closed.
I really dont want to send it back, but I suppose I will if no one can help.

thanks

Zoo, I don't know for certain, maybe tighten the pivot?? Both my mini and full size ritter are not centered when closed. It has not affected the performance and the blade doesn't rub the handle or anything.

APS, Mine dose not rub either but its one of those things that now that I know
its there will always drive me crazy:(

My mini-Ritter grip is almost brand new and its blade is also slightly off center when closed. It "leans" toward the side with the factory-installed clip - the side with the butterfly on the blade.

I haven't noticed any problem with the function. No rubbing, sticking, or unusual wear.

I just checked my full-size Ritter grip and it is the same way. It also leans to the clip side - the side with the butterfly.

Both operate very smoothly. I REALLY like these knives!!

I had the same issue when I got mine. Got some tips from some of the helpful people on the forum here and I couldn't get any of them to work for me. Ended up just bunging up a couple of torx screws and had to fiddle with the pivot to get it smooth again. After that I realized it wasn't REALLY that big a deal and now I'm real happy with the knife. My advice? Its a great knife, enjoy it! :)

My Mini Grip 556 (same set-up as Ritter Grip) is not centered either when closed. It may just be a common thing for these models?

Classic fixes include tightening the pivot, and firmly grasping both ends of the knife while closed and flexing the middle of the handle in the direction you want the tip to go. You can do this when the knife is open too, but I generally don't as I keep thinking I'll prolly cut myself. Generally speaking though this works better with benchmade linerlocks than axis knives, and I'm not sure but I'm willing to bet the griptillians don't flex nearly as readily as the G10 knives. Best bet is to play with the tightness of each handle screw, first make sure they're all roughly the same tightness then see if slightly tightening or loosening them will center the tip in the handle well. If all that fails then you either put up with it or send it back to the factory for servicing. I'd be willing to take apart their linerlocks to hand bend the liners, but the axis lock (710) that I took apart because I messed it up really bad was a real pain without the proper tools.

I guess I dont understand how this could be much of a problem. I have the sheeps foot version of the mini-grip and the blade is so close to the liners on both sides, that if it was closer to one side and not rubbing, I would need dial calipers to know it. The amount of space between the blade and liners on both sides is very small. Is this gap larger on the standard size grip so that it is more noticeable? Either way, its not going to effect performance, so I would just put it back in my pocket and forget about it.
