I could do this for you, but I have company coming. I'll check back later and if nobody else has it by then, I will snap a shot or two for you!

Hi,

The only pic that I have prepared is below. They're the bottom two on the left.

thank you both very much ... in your honest opinions which is the better knife i'm torn between the two i am leaning more twoards the manix though

I think the above pic makes the Grip look bigger than it really is. Next to a Manix, the Grip looks obviously smaller. The way the knives are all half-open in that pic makes the difference harder to notice. Really cool pic, though.

I do not have a Ritter Grip, but I do have a normal BM Grip.

The Grip is a fine knife. It is smaller and lighter than the Manix, so if those are important issues to you, the Grip may be better. The Axis lock is also a little easier to use than a lockback. Not much smoother to open, but easier to close without using a second hand.

But the Manix has some advantages of its own. I much prefer G-10 to FRN. And Spyderco does G-10 well. Very grippy. The ergos of the Grip are nice, but the Manix is just as comfy and far more secure. There is no feeling like your pinky will slip off the end of the knife and the notches on the back of the blade do a better job of keeping your thumb in place. The "guard" is bigger and more secure, too. The Manix is longer, thicker, and heavier.

I prefer the Manix, but I like big, tough folders with secure ergos. The Grip is better if you are willing to trade those things for lighter weight, a smaller pocket print, and easier one-hand closing.

Edit: mistakes

I have both the Manix, and the Ritter Grip. Both are stout, well made knives, best suited to heavy duty use. Both feel great in the hand, the Grip has S30V, the Manix has CPMS30V, I'm not sure what the big difference is other than Crucible made the steel used on the Manix? I grew up with lockbacks, I am new to the world of the Axis lock, I can't really decide between the two in that regard. The Manix weighs more, and in my opinion would not make a good EDC for the average user that does not need an HD EDC. On the other hand, the Ritter Grip is too big for my EDC needs. Both are very desirable knives, on this website and other forums etc, I would, if possible, get both, and if Hell freezes over and you want to sell or trade either one, they should move pretty fast.

Not exactly what you are after, but here's a Griptilian and mini-manix:

They are the same.

CPM invented S30V and there is no version of S30V that isn't made by CPM.

S30V is just short for CPM S30V. Spyderco puts CPM's name on the knife while most brands do not.

This is different with existing steels that CPM uses their process on, such as 154CM and CPM154. 154CM already existed, but CPM also makes a version of the steel using their CPM process.

At least this is my understanding. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for the pix!! I have a Ritter Mini-grip, and have been thinking about getting a Mini-Manix. This has helped make me decide TO get the Mini-Manix! Thanks for the help guys!
