Hey guys, which do you prefer the full size or mini ritter griptilian and what do you like about the ritter grips in general? Thanks

The Mini RSK Mk1 is the knife that I carry more than any other. It can't be beaten for day-to-day use.

However, when I choose to carry a larger folder it's generally a Benchmade 710 rather than a fill sized RSK Mk1.

I have both sizes. If I am in need of a heavier blade I got with the full sized.
I like the mini for traveling light around town, wearing shorts etc.
They both ride in the pocket about the same.
For heavier tasks and time in the woods go with the full sized.

Personally, I like the Mini better. I can do anything with it I can with the large.
I also have the Wilkins grips on a mini Ritter Grip.. that is a nice combo also. :)

If your gonna spend the money on a Ritter Griptilian (which I highly recommend), get the large model first. Why? Because you will find you won't need the smaller version.

My $ .02 here but I believe this knife to be the best bang for the buck in the knife world today. The ergos, steel, warranty and blade shape make this an unbeatable bargain. The blade is very well designed to be a great cutter/slicer and the axis lock platform is a bulletproof design in it's own right.

The regular and mini do ride pretty much the same in the pocket, but I feel the added size of the large Ritter comes in very handy when you need to use the knife. Not opening boxes from UPS, but actually using the knife to cut rope, electrical wires, zip ties, laminate flooring, etc. The S30V blade is the easiest blade to keep sharp using a diamond stones and strop. It is the one knife I carry everyday. Not my Emerson, not my ZT's. The full size Ritter. You will not be disappointed.

I would go with the mini. It feels completely different than the large since it has stainless steel liners, it won't have a hollow feeling like the large does. If you think that you need a larger blade for whatever your tasks are, then obviously go with the larger blade. Between the two, though, the mini is the better feeling knife, and to me that's what matters, feeling confident in the knife.

Ah, but the Mini will do all those things and, with its higher liner/ knife ratio, it is a technically a stronger knife. ;)
