The biggest complaint I have about my full size Ritter Grip is that the handle is just too fat/thick for comfortable edc use. How do the Wilkins grips compare to the original grips in terms of thickness and comfort carrying? Great knife btw and it looks better w/ those wilkins grips.

The g10 is thicker than any production knife which gives it a super solid custom feel the aluminum back spacer is gorgeous and tho not as slim as I thought it would be ( due to thick g10 ) it carries much better than the fat rounded plastic , and the lack of clacking plastic is such a joy as that made this wonderful designe feel cheap!!

Thanks for the info. It really does look like a much higher quality knife without those cheap plastic grips. Of course, you've got a lot more money invested in it now, but it's worth it imo.

Congrats!

I put Wilkins scales on my large Ritter Grip, also.

It really transforms the knife to the point I no longer consider it a Griptilian. That knife is now my "Ritterkins".

Those Wilkinsgrips turned the Ritter into one of my top folders.
A semi-custom Axis lock with that wonderfull Doug Ritter designed blade.
How ya gonna beat that?

I calipered the thickness of the Wilkins and the stock Grips.
They measured out almost the same at the thickest point. (The middle)
I was surprised.

I suppose the stock grips feel slimmer due to the fact that they contour.

Although fatter handled knives don't carry as well for EDC, they are MUCH more comfortable for use out in the field. The WilkinsGriptillian is really a nice knife to use, very easy on the hand.

It's a tradeoff. Thin for carry, thick for use.
I have a Fallkniven PXL that has similar characteristics.
Still, they are nowhere near as heavy and bulky as, say, the ZT series.

Congrats on your orange WilkinsGrips.

How close to $250 is a Ritter Grip with WILKINSGRIPS. It looks real nice but that is Ti $.
