Just got my first Ritter RSK Mini. Great Knife! Love the blade geometry. It was scary sharp right out of the box.

I also have a standard BM Mini-Grip with 154CM. My question is should the action on the RSK be more "sticky" than the standard mini-grip? On my standard mini-grip if I loosen the torx screw the blade will easily fall shut when the axis lock is opened. On the RSK, I can loosen the screw way out but the tightness of the folder does not change.

Will this loosen up over time, or is it just a function of the different blade? As it sits now, it is harder to open then my standard Mini-grip.

I would give it some time to wear in. All of the ones I have handled have been very smooth. A drop of oil might also speed things up. Last of all you know Benchmade will make it right if you are not happy. Good luck! Kevin:)

I have 4 Ritters, 2 of them are minis. They are great knives... as tough as anything I have. I haven't had a problem with any of them being hard to open or close. I would just put a drop of lube on the sides of the pivot area and work the blade for a while.

If things don't get better with lube and activity, then you can contact BM and send it in for W&R.

I took the handles out of my mini rsk and placed it in a yellow mini grip handle and works just perfectly. Really looks good with the yellow handle.
