hey guys,

I have a ritter rsk mk2 and I dont like the sheath, I want to get a spec ops combat master short for it. the ritter is just over 1 3/4 inch at the widest part of the blade(the thumb ramp) and on the spec ops website it says the sheath will take a blade with a 1 3/4 inch wide blade.

Has anyone tried this sheath on this knife? does it fit?

thanks guys any help is much appreciated

The SpecOps works fine, you just need to take the time to boil the insert and mold it to accommodate the ramp. Another thought I had (which I didn't do) was to take the insert out of the RSK Mk2 sheath and transplant that to the SpecOps.

thanks guys!!! Im gona go order one now,

how do you guys like your ritters? IMHO I think its about perfect for a general purpose jack off all trades bush knife, I like the bk7 but its a bit big, love the bk2 but ive always thought its a bit thick, if it was made out of 3/16 stock I wouldnt touch another bush knife again.

I think Ethan and Doug did a good job on this one

Works fine as far as clearance. Does need molding, as mentioned.

Guyon,
How exactly did you mold it? I understand you take out the screw at the bottom of the sheath and remove the insert, is the insert kydex? any help would be greatly appreciated

quarter tank,

your a legend cheers bro!!! now its just a matter of waiting for the post man, since becoming a knife nut it seems all I do is stare down the driveway hoping to see the postman

No need to boil water. A blow drier, concentrated just on the portion where the thumb ramp will go works like a charm. When it is soft, just stick the knife in and let the coolness of the blade start cooling the plastic. Move the knife in and out while it is still sort of soft so you form a complete ramp shape.

Man, I've gotta order a Ritter. Been kicking around the idea of buying one for months.

Just curious to know if the Ritter RSK Mk2 will fit into a BK7 sheath? They appear very similar with the exception of blade length and swedge on the Bk7, so in theory the RSK should fit, particularly when taking about a leather sheath, but maybe also a kydex??? Can anyone confirm this?

Not that many kydex makers in Australia, so im limited to what I can buy online, mostly from US. Postage alone is the same price as the sheath. Azwelkie looks great, but ive found a few leather sheath options and just want to confirm before pulling the trigger.
