I wanted to make something nice for the Ohio/Koval show next month, so here's my attempt.
This Bowie knife has a 9" blade of 1000 layer high carbon/wrought iron "heartbeat" damascus, 15" total length. The S-guard and pommel are both 250 layer "random" damascus with file work accents. The handle is premium Sambar stag with a throat of stabilized buffalo horn and copper/black spacers. The knife is finished off with an Onyx cabochon on the pommel. The fully tooled leather blade sheath, by Tess, has shark skin inlays. I like this one, hope you do too. :)

That is easily my favrite knife of yours that I have seen. What a beauty. You don't post a lot of photos of big bowies and it is a pleasure to get to see one of this quality from you.

That great looking sheath is a perfect companion for such an excellent knife.

I'm with Keith, my favorite knife of yours to date. It looks like it has some Fillicietti influence, does it? In any case, keep it up, great work.

Thanks all, the comments are appreciated. As far as Fillicietti influence...good possiblity. I'm one of the weird kinda makers who doesn't really plan ahead too much. I just start the knife and take it from there with a general idea. I always joke that I think my knives mostly make themselves and I'm just there to turn things on and off. :D

Spoken as a true artist... Go where the art takes you. :)
