Hello all, it's my first time posting in the CRK subforum. It was long past time that I do some sort of writeup on the fantastic Large 21 I won in RiverRat84's GAW so I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and went outside to take some pics.

Lockup is great with no blade play and RiverRat84 grossly overstated the amount of use this knife has seen. When I read in his GAW thread that it had been heavily used I braced myself for the worst. In reality, it is in great shape and the scotchbrite-ing has made the scales as smooth as an android's butt. :thumbup: It was very dull when I got it so I freehanded a nice hair popping polished edge.

I've been carrying this knife with me everywhere since I got it and boy do I love it! RiverRat84 has most likely saved me from spending thousands on cheaper knives before I eventually buy a CRK :D Anyways, on to the pics!

First off, congrats on the great knife! Use it. Enjoy it. Second, your statement above made me smile. You may be thanking him now, but you may be cursing him some months from now when you're eyeing up a new unique graphic to go with the 6 you already have in the safe, haha. It happened to me, it could happen to you!

Welcome! What a lucky guy you are indeed. humblerodent speaks the truth, I skipped right over the mid-range knives and CRK is a pernicious bug!

Well. Didn't expect a rusty robot, but whattya gonna do? My kid is terrified of that movie by the way.

I'm actually considering a small plain insingo to accompany the large :D
It'll be a bit before I have that kind of change floating around though :rolleyes:

Thanks for sharing and congrats on a very sharp looking 21 ~ Great pics too; I like the last pic as well. The last pic is probably your favorite because it shows how perfectly the knife fits your hand. Hats off to RR84 too!:thumbup:
 
Who is this RiverRat guy anyway? He never gave me nuttin' after all I done for him.

Wait so you received a Sebbie for free dollars? Awesomeness.

It's gonna be the old fashioned way for my first Sebbie... Fleecing the piggy bank.
 
Best giveaway ever, you got yourself a fine blade with a great story I wouldn't ever let that one go! I don't know if I could part with one of my beloved CRK's :eek: by the way I was writing all the days everyone guessed already I had a tally going :D

What got me was how close the very first post was in that thread!:eek:

That was almost the fastest GAW EVER!
