Today finally a beautiful day to go outdoor,

and to try a bit my new Evans Bushtool

Specs:
Steel O1, 59hrc
Handle green micarta
Blade thickness 3,5 mm
Total lenght 220 mm
Blade lenght 110 mm
The sheath I done retain the knife comfortably and safely, the knife is not heavy, so not any issues

Cutting a 2 cm diameter wood, the knife is balanced slightly on the rear side so no chopping just cutting, anyway the knife is really scary sharp so all is going well

Carving tasks are really easy to do, due to the scandi razor sharp grind and a well rounded handle, the only things I would like a bit different is the handle material, its a beautiful green micarta someway slippery, I maybe would prefer a linen micarta, more grippy, anyway at the moment no problems to me

Arranging the woods for a spring snare trap

The rear of the knife has a metal plate, useful i.e. as a hammer

The spring snare trap is ready

A small footage

At the end the knife is still razor sharp

This knife is well done, scary sharp, comfortable, a real bushtool. Im very pleased to use it. My congratulation to RJ Evans the maker.
Regards,
Alfredo
