Hey I just got a bunch of these and I am going to open a discussion about what you guys think of them. I think they are very cool, but that's just me, I have not decided what the exchange price will be yet and don't want to discuss that part in open forum, but if you want to give me your input on that part, PM me with your thoughts. This discussion will be about the knife in general, not pricing. That being said, take a look see and tell me what you think.

Thanks
Dave AKA KG

A tanto Zing with a black blade? What's not to love? I only have the standard orange version, and it's a gorgeous piece. The angled thumbstuds are great. Nice score there Dave. I may have to take one off your hands.

That is the knife that booted the Skyline to the curb in my home. It's an RJ Martin design, what else needs to be said? ;)

really wish you had these when i was trying to hunt down a black tanto blade for a frankenzing! i paid way too much for a ranger green one just to take it apart. i much prefer this blade to the standard scalloped/bead blast (read as: rust magnet) one.

Lol my input is that it looks great, I have heard good things about the zing and depending on pricing am definately interested in one of these. As usual you're the man Dave.

Hate the clip! Otherwise it looks like a decent knife.

That is the clip style on the originals, the American-made Zings, as well as some other now discontinued Kershaws.

(FWIW: The prototype of the new Chinese stainless steel Zing shows a more traditional clip; although I have yet to see what clip comes with the production version.)

Edit: Just found a dealer photo and clip on the new stainless steel Zing is similar to that on the old model.

The Zing is the only knife I own more than one variant.

I have a standard Zing

I have the Green/Black Tanto Zing (my favorite)

I have a standard Tanto Zing

I will definitely be grabbing one of these from you provided the price is right.

I like the black/tanto. Do you know how many were made?
I have a damascus Zing and it's a cool knife.

The Zing is a nice little knife to carry. I like the tanto blade better than the grooved one from a utility perspective. This blade would be more useful than that of the leek, for me anyways. I do not like the clips, I think this version would have done will with a black clip to hide it better.

If I were in need of a blade that size, Id want one. Depending on price, I might get one anyways.

Is this Zing limited?

very reasonable, come payday on Tuesday I know where a little of that check is going... maybe it will hold me over until I can order that 0560 I have been wanting for months lol
