Sent one back to RJ for a re-furb about 10 days ago.
I've carried the knife everyday for the last 2-3 years (since new).
I have broken the tip twice (RJ was nice enough to fix at last years Blade Show on one of Stephen Bader's machines) and recently managed to shear the pocket clip bolts off.
I'm a little hard on EDC knives.

Anyways, got it back on Friday.
RJ not only fixed the tip and pocket clip but replaced the pivot and pivot screw to a new heavier version. He also re-ground the tang and locking bar to tighten up the action.

The coup de grace - he modified the detent hole so it fires like the a Q36.

Mr. Martin's knives don't get a lot of publicity here but I'm sure some of you guys own his work. His work is one of the things I take for granted - as well as - his "scary sharp" edge. Just had to let you guys know how pleased I am with his knives.

If you don't own any of RJ's knives yet, get an order in - you will not be disappointed.

You know, I have always liked RJ's work!! I do not know how I have managed to NOT own one of his knives yet.
That is incredible service!! Thanks for sharing that with us. How about pix of your knife?

R.J. is a first class maker in every respect - thanks for sharing this example with us.

RJ is definitely one of the best in the biz.

He must have one or two fans out there cos he had to stop taking orders a while back. ;)

This thread is WORTHLESS without pics!!! :D let's see it! Sounds like a sweet one :)

I agree,

Sounds like good customer service, but how did you manage to break the tip twice? What were you prying, jabbing at?

edited to add, I ask because I've been looking for a folder to carry and this model is at the top of the list...
