RJ MARTIN TALONITE QUICKENING

Hey Bill, thanks again for posting the great picture. I am a big fan of talonite and this knife puts it to good use.

Keith.

No this one is not chisel grind - it is double hollow grind - blade is 1/4" Talonite - every bit as sharp as his chisel-ground knives though - Quickening model if I remember correctly was developed in conjunction with Les Robertson as a tactical personal defense knife.

I'm not a chisel fan - I am a talonite fan, and what you say makes the knife sound as good as it looks!

I am very new at this so please forgive me for asking What could or should I expect to pay for something this beautiful? and how long would it take to have something like this made? Thanks Jim aka Wilseya.

Jim,
You really need to talk to RJ regarding having one like this made - there are a number of things on this one that are not standard on this model. Les Robertson carries these though in normal steels - one note is that Talonite is very expensive so this cost more than a standard version. Follow the link to RJ's site below & I'm sure somebody can give you a link to Robertson's Cutlery. Also the last time I talked to RJ he wasn't taking any new orders at the time - probably the only way now would be from Les Robertson( a real nice guy and great person to do business with!).

Appreciate your interest - it really is a super knife!
