Just got this fella, so I can't give a detailed review yet, but...

3.5" CPM-3V blade from 1/4" stock (Mmmmm...Beefy!) approx 7.5" OAL. Handle is a purple lace overwrap over black same with sterling silver foo dog menuki. Sheath is kydex with kangaroo leather laminate and moleskin liner (Shhh...quiet...). This is one wicked sharp blade, easily turning single hairs loose with almost no pressure at all.

About 9 months wait, worth every minute!

Brian that is a great looking knife. R.J. does such a great job on Japanese style knives and they are about as sharp as any knife in the industry.

Thanks for the picture.

Yo Brian,
WHAAASSS UP? WAAA-SAAA-BEEE!!!!
That is one schweeet "little" knife! I must agree with Les & Keith having two of R.J.'s already - nobody does it better or sharper!

Now you need to get a big "brother" - a 5" or 6" version because no matter what anybody says "SIZE COUNTS!!!!" - AND A GOOD EXCUSE TO SPEND SOME MORE MONEY!

Guys: As always, thanks for the kind words. Too bad that purple wrap doesn't show
it's true colors in the pic.
Brian: Thanks again for your patience during the waiting process. What do you think of that lined sheath?

Stay Sharp!

RJ Martin

RJ - The sheath is great! I haven't had a chance to use it as anything but a neck sheath yet, because I've been in shorts and sweats with no belt loops!

The purple color does show up in the right lights. Daylight brings it out really well - better than you might think. Seeing that, I'm getting to like the subtlety. I'm really happy with how nice and grippy the handle is.

On worthwhile projects, with reputable makers, longer wait times just mean more time to make friends!
