That Q36 is one fine looking knife.

How do you get almost a 4 inch blade when the closed length in 4 inches?

To have a blade of that size I assumed that you would need a larger handle.

I need to stop assuming.

Thanks,

Dave

BiIg Dave: Keep on thinking. I made a typo in my website. The closed length is about 4 3/4". Blade to handle ratio is almost .80
I use 5/8" Dia. washers, for more bearing area-this helps eliminate any blade play that might develop as the system wears in.

Sorry for the typo......

Wow, you work fast RJ.

One other thing that I'm having trouble with on your web site is the pic of the Q38. When I click on it to enlarge, I get a message stating "a connection with the server could not be established."

In regards to your Q38, your website says, "Double action means it operates as a linerlock as well, should you desire."

I "assumed" that if the blade was opened the Liner Lock would engage no-matter if you opened it with the "push button" or "thumb stud."

So, if you open it with the button, it can not by pass the liner lock and use an alternate lock--right?

Sorry if this is confusing. I don't have anything better to do!

Dave

I don't know have a Q36, but I do have a Q30 and I would just like to give RJ a little plug. His knives are very well built. The folders are super strong in the same manner as Lightfoot's and Kit Carson's. Definitely worth the bucks.

Big Dave: OK-the liner is the locking device regardless of how the knife is opened. This is simply a double action auto, so named because of the 2 ways the blade can be opened. Sorry if I was confusing!
