Looking for some "cheap" gifts for a few coworkers. Anyone have the RJI or RJII? Are they OK knives? I haz the zt0600, but i dont like my coworkers that much! Buying online as no one in town has much of any kershaw.

If you like any of the other lower end kershaw knives, please post up.

Thanks :)

My "lower end" knives are a skyline and a cryo. Both are really nice. I would say the cryo is a little more impressive. Maybe order a knife for yourself on a test case basis and then see if its good enough for your co-workers. Then you also get a new knife in the deal.

I own about 50 kershaws and ZTs of all values and feel for the money ur looking to spend id go with a cryo, scallion, volt, or tremor. The volt and tremor can be had at 20 bucks or so and the cryo and scallion around 30. if it was me id go cryo or scallion from kershawguy.com......scallion blems are even under 30 and American made!!! there are even leeks to b had for around 35 on exchange and bay that would b even better

I have both, and they seem to be nice China built knives. I think they are discontinued, so you might be able to get a deal if you look. There are a lot of other great Kershaw choices as well.

I like the Clash myself. Its Like a small ZT 0350 and comes in a lot of choices. Price cant be beat for what you get.

I like the budget Kershaws. My first was the Compound which performed well and looked good. I have an Asset which feels really nice in my hand, though the sharp tip and sweep of the blade can look a little sinister. If you think they'd appreciate a large knife, then a Tremor, Compound, or the longer RJ would be good (the TiNi coating on the RJ is nice and preferred by me to the bead blast of the Compound). If you're thinking smaller, then the Chill is very thin, light option. Skylines can be had for not much $. Cryo is small but tough. All inexpensive but quality knives that come in different flavors. Just advise them to wipe it down after getting in potentially rust causing situations like ocean fishing or something.

The Zing is designed by RJ Martin, and you can still find the American-made ones with Sandvik steel and no speedsafe. I think kershawguy has some, but they're mostly the tanto style blade. As a manual flipper they're about the best knives around. Great fun.
